Anna H. Caughron, 91, of Rockford, left her earthly home surrounded by her loving family on September 7, 2004 at 11:45 p.m. to join her Heavenly Father. Anna's life here on earth included serving her Lord at Riverview Baptist Church, she was baptized at age 22. She worked for Rockford Manufacturing Company and upon retiring she began making cakes and pies at Glico's for twenty years until age eighty-five. Our beloved mother and grandmother will be met in Heaven by her husband, Willie C. Caughron; children, Johnnie Murr, Billie Thompson-Charles, Brenda Ables, Isaac ``Buddy'' Caughron. She will be greatly missed by daughter, Sarah Thompson of Chicago, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home, Rev. Ronnie Hutchens officiating. Interment will follow at Clark's Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

Lowell M. Churchman, 67, of Jefferson City, TN went to his heavenly home on September 7, 2004 at Hillcrest North. He was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church and a member of Cherokee Masonic Lodge #728 FA&M, a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. Preceded in death by his father, Clyde L. Churchman; and sister, Evelyn Watkins. Survived by daughters, Cheryl Bowling of Erin, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Gregg McAskill of Cumberland City, TN, Stephanie and Bob Bakos of Johnston, PA; grandchildren, Sarah and Elizabeth McAskill; mother, Edna Churchman of New Market; brother and sister-in-law, John R. and Edith Churchman of Alcoa, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2004 at Rocky Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Dwayne Whittington and Reverend John R. Churchman officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Sunday School class of Rocky Valley Baptist Church. Dolly Susanne Clabo, 79, of 1449 Dalton St., Alcoa, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Roy (Rowena) Huskey, Mrs. Carl (Anne Lee) Whaley, both of Alcoa, Mrs. Sam (Alda) Conner of Ohio, Mrs. Ellis (Nelle) Spears of Florida; three grandchildren, Donald Huskey of Alcoa, Ronald Whaley of Memphis, Mrs. James (Lois) Colborn of Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Linda Colborn of Ohio; two brothers, Edgar and Johnny Clabo of Sevierville; sisters, Mrs. Vola Lawson of Sevierville, Mrs. Josie Huskey of Virginia. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Sears Valley Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Dailey and the Rev. J. T. Arnold officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services. Burial will be in Mattox Cemetery.

Fred Clabough, 56, of -4- Highland Ave., Oak Ridge, who had several Maryville relatives, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Hospital. He was an employee of Y-12, a member of Robertsville Baptist Church, Faith Lodge No. 756 F & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Kerbella Shrine, Steward of Atomic Trade and Labor Union and charter member of South Hills Golf and Country Club and Green Meadow Country Club. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Lucille L. Clabough; sons, Kenneth Clabough of Greenback, Don Clabough of Maryville; daughter, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Palmer of Oak Ridge; 15 grandchildren; step-sons, Jim Morton, Gary Morton, both of Maryville; step-daughters, Mrs. Lillian Lonas, Mrs. Roma King, both of Maryville; sisters, Mrs. Gladys Harris of Knoxville, Mrs. Mary Smith of Maryville; brothers, Raymond Clabough of Memphis, Edward Clabough of Dallas, Tex., Paul Clabough of Maryville. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Rockford United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Monroe Ball and the Rev. Tom Dailey officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Anna Bell Clark, 87, of Louisville, died at 3:50 p.m. Thursday at the family home. She was preceded in death by husband, Albert B. Clark, Sr. Survivors include: five sons; three daughters; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, and a sister. The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today in the East Chapel of Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clark's Grove Cemetery for interment service. Fredrick Reece Clark, 77, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord, Monday morning, September 6, 2004, at his home. He was a wonderful husband and a great father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. He served in the Navy in the 1940s and retired from TVA. Preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Thomas Clark and Cordia McMillan Clark; sisters, Ethel Starritt, Pearl Huffstetler, Violet Hall and Edna Caylor; and brothers, Earl and Floyd Clark. Iva "Mantie" Samantha Potter Blair Cogburn, 80, of Maryville, died May 15 at her home. She was a member of Springview Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Blair, her mother and father, Annie Alice Anthony Potter and Richard Potter; brothers, Mort J. Potter, who died in World War II and Earl E. Potter. Survivors include: husband, daughter, two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, a great grandson, and four stepchildren. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside and interment service with the Rev. Guy Milam officiating. Paulette M. Coleman, 53, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 3, 2000, at her home. She was the widow of Johnny N. Coleman. A member of Bethesda Fellowship. A graduate of Fort Sanders School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at Hillcrest West. Survived by sons, John Coleman, Paul Coleman, and Mark Coleman, all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Mindy, Jessica, John II, Nikki, Destiny and Michael, and Joshua Coleman and Shane McMillan; sister, Helen and Sam Sparks of Maryville, Johnnie Mae and Buck Whitehead of Maryville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer and Carolyn McPherson of Virginia Beach, Va., Jimmy and Donna McPherson of Greenback, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Andy Coulter, 71, died at his home near Piney Level, Tuesday morning at 8:15 o'clock. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Roscoe Miller of Maryville, Mrs. Mattie Pedigo of Walland, and Mrs. Nannie Long of Knoxville, one son, Andy of Maryville. Funeral services were conducted today at 2:00 P.M. at Piney Level by Rev. Blennie Smith. Interment in church cemetery

Emily Renfro Coulter, was born July 10, 1851. She was 75 years 6 months and 18 days when the death angel came into her home Jan. 28, 1927 and said thy race is run, come up higher and meet your loved ones in the beautiful land of the sweet bye and bye, where there will be no parting or saying good byes. Emily Renfro was converted at an early age uniting with the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church later moving her membership to the Piney Level Baptist Church remaining there until death. She married Samuel Coulter, Oct. 28, 1873, being married 53 years, 3 months and one day. To this union eight children were born, four boys and four girls, Robert Coulter the eldest, deceased, Mrs. Wm Braden, Mrs. Ed Tefeteller (sic), West (sic) and Tol Coulter, Mrs. Inel (sic) Hutsell, Mack Coulter, Mrs. Elias Hutsell, all of Blount County, excepting Mack of Bakersfield, California. Having 36 grandchildren, five of whom preceded her and seven great grandchildren one of whom preceded her. Being the last member of the Renfro family to depart this life. She told her husband the end was near "I hate to leave you", she said, "but the Lord was gracious and good to us sparing our lives to see all of our children grown and homes of their own." A Friend

Mae Gregory Coulter, 86, of Maryville, died Wednesday at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Cades Cove and was preceded in death by her parents, William "Billy" and Mary Elizabeth Wilcox Gregory; husband, Robert Coulter; daughter, Wilma Dean Coulter; son, Donald Coulter, who was killed in Vietnam; and brothers, Floyd Gregory, Frank Gregorgy, and half-brother, Henry Gregory. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Cathy Coulter of Maryville, Robert "Bob" and Janet Coulter of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and Charles Spradling of Maryville, Lois and Ken Domdey of Apache Junction, Ariz.; daughter, Vernal Davis of Maryville; brothers, Howard Gregory, Claude Gregory, and Harvey Gregory, all of Maryville, W.J. "Jay" Gregory of Fort Worth, Texas; June Kelley, Mary Young and Pat Mullins, all of Maryville; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Piney Level Cemetery at 3 p.m. Saturday for graveside services and interment. Dr. Charles Bailey will be officiating. Friends may call at their convenience Saturday at Miller Funeral Home.

Mrs. Toll "Margaret" Coulter, 76, Old Knoxville Highway, Maryville, died at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday at Blount Memorial Hospital. Funeral is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Smith Chapel with interment in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Smith Mortuary.

Toll Coulter, 45, died at his home near Maryville Tuesday, following an illness of several months. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. R. Dykes and burial was in Brown's cemetery Wednesday.
